Finn Anderson - Canoe Slalom
Finn is an up-and-coming athlete from Tauranga. This year, he is preparing and training for the World Cup season, which begins in June in Spain, and the World Championship in October.
When he’s not training, Finn works as a raft guide at Vector Wero in Auckland and coaches several younger athletes.
Goals for 2025 & Beyond
• To compete at his first Senior World Championships in Australia in 2025.
• To achieve a top 20 finish at the U23 World Championships in France.
• To make a semifinal at a World Cup in 2025.
• To qualify for the 2028 Olympics.

Mary Ieremia-Allan - Hockey
Amidst her involvement on political fronts and being heavily involved in the performing arts, Mary Ieremia-Allan is an up-and-coming sportswoman.
After twelve months of intensive rehabilitation and knee reconstruction, Mary is poised to return to international competition. She will be representing the Open Women's Touch Blacks and the U21 Junior Black Sticks.
Leila Walker - BMX
Born and bred in Cambridge, Leila has been racing BMX on both national and international levels for twelve years. She has claimed six age-group World titles and eleven National titles.
Recently, Leila graduated from the Junior ranks and moved into the Elite Women Class, where she achieved 7th place at the World Championships in 2024.
Leila has qualified for her first Olympic Games and is excited to embrace the experience and represent New Zealand.
Tannika Leger-Walker - Basketball
Tannika is a young basketball prospect who attended the U17 World Championships in Hungary last year and is looking to continue her involvement within the New Zealand national age group programmes.
She is currently a Year 13 student and is focusing on completing her studies while involving herself in coaching and supporting junior teams and players.
Kaelani Albert-Neha - Basketball
Kaelani is a young basketball prospect who recently attended the Oceania FIBA Cup in Papua New Guinea and will be attending Trinidad Community College this coming August to further her basketball career and to study.
In the meantime, Kaelani works at Te Whakaruruhau and is keeping fit in preparation for the year ahead.
