AFFCO Castlecliff is located in Whanganui and specialises in supplying the New Zealand Market, it was formally known as Land Meat. The original plant was built in 1897 and has undergone extensive renovation recently to maintain its position as a large supplier to the New Zealand domestic market and to increase its export markets. Castlecliff process bovine and porcine almost all year and with the close proximity of AFFCO Imlay for the supply of any ovine requirements Castlecliff have the complete offering for the major national supermarket and butchery chains as well as independent butcheries.

Castlecliff processes bovine and porcine from slaughter through to further processing into a wide range of retail cuts, gas flushed, chilled and frozen as well as offals and added value products.

Bovine renderable product is processed at AFFCO Imlay and beef hides are delivered daily to The Tasman Tanning site situated close by.
