AFFCO has been a pioneering leader in New Zealand’s meat industry for over a hundred years. Throughout our growth and expansion overseas, we’ve maintained our grassroots values. We’re proud of our strong relationships with Kiwi farmers and rural communities and give back to them as much as we can.
Since 2006, we’ve raised over $1 million for primary schools and fire brigades through our AFFCO Cash for Calves Programme. For every bobby calf supplied to AFFCO, we donate 40 cents to a nominated local school or fire brigade.
We’re proud to support our group of young athletes to achieve their dreams. The athletes represent their region and New Zealand in a range of sports . These athletes were handpicked by Rob Waddell, director of the Waddell Association. We can’t wait to see what they achieve in future.
We support farmers in the regions through a variety of initiatives including community sponsorship, event support and industry awards.
At AFFCO, rural New Zealand is at the centre of everything we do.
AFFCO is committed to corporate, social and environmental responsibility. We are constantly developing innovative ways to minimise packaging use and are focused on reducing carbon emissions. Our Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) accredited energy management programme records energy and carbon savings to meet international standards.
