AFFCO Imlay is located in Whanganui and is a specialist ovine and bobby calf processor. The original plant was built in 1915, and has undergone extensive renovation to maintain its position as a large innovative multi-shift operation. It is licensed for all major export regions, including EU, North America, China, Middle Eastern and Asian markets.
AFFCO Imlay processes ovine and bobby calves into a wide range of retail cuts, gas flushed, chilled and frozen, with associated offals, feed meals and tallow. The plant also operates a rendering plant which has undergone extensive refurbishment utilising the latest technology and energy efficient practices.
